My kid grabbed the astronaut card first and we built a whole space adventure with the cowboy meeting him on Mars. The mix of characters sparks way more imaginative play than I expected from a simple storytelling set.
My daughter pulls out a new character card every night and spins a completely different tale each time — the astronaut and cowboy cards are her current favorites. The storytelling prompts are simple enough that she can run with them on her own, which gives me a few quiet minutes to sip my coffee.
The mix of character cards keeps my son switching stories every few minutes, and the box itself is sturdy enough for his tossing around. Even the aviator card got him making up a whole rescue mission, which I wasn't expecting from a simple prompt set.
